Pros

Good pay, great benefits, laid back atmosphere

Cons

New hires work irregular hours, no set schedule. You will be lucky to get 40 hours a week. Trucks are very old

Pros

I have learned many great skills about freight businesses and transportation. Pay is great, experiences, co-workers, customers, quality, and schedule.

Cons

Long hours wihtout lunch breaks, poor benefits, poor training and politics.

Pros

Great Pay and Benefits. Management Colleagues are nice to work with. Most Drivers/Dock Employees are good people and work hard for you. Not very nit-picky about some work rules/policies. More laid back than other companies (can be good to a degree) I have spoken to employees at other terminals and Linehaul drivers, very nice people.

Cons

Terminal management is afraid of upper management and Union employees. A handful of Union employees are like a Cancer at the Detroit Terminal. Hence the saying, " a few bad apples spoil the bunch". They can create a very poor work environment. Terminal Service Manager(s) seem too young and inexperienced to deal with a larger terminal such as Detroit. Bad communication. Excessive terminal slow down when other LTL companies are thriving; no explanation from upper management.
