Could be a great company...

Pros

Great benefits and pension. Just do your job and no one bothers you.

Cons

Management at local level is lost, mainly due to ridiculous, unobtainable goals set by the Fort. Horrible vacation policy. Pay cut of 7% on last contract.

Pros

driver and dock jobs are union , good benefits , decent equiptment

Cons

local level management usually inexperienced , use of high pressure and threat tactics are the norm , if you get injured they deny it due to being self insured in some states

Pros

The schedule overall is nice. You work 3 on 3 off 12 hour shifts which gives a lot of free time for personal life (excluding exceptions). The pay is decent which decent insurance and benefits.

Cons

To sum it up: all the responsibility and none of the decision making power. Long hours with high expectations from upper management are compounded by them doing nearly nothing to help you and will not take advice from any of the supervisors. Upper management tries to rule by intimidation and strong arming those below them.
