Pros

Good training. if you are looking to get trained and have never been in the field this company is fine.

Cons

stingy greedy and could care less about their employees. They seem to be operating under the model of: we'll take unqualified people train them and offer the lowest pay possible. Than after they're experienced put no effort into keeping them or rewarding their work because it's cheaper to just Hire an unexperienced person than to give a yearly or even 2 year salary review. Pretty much any ABA company will treat their employees better. (Poor pay for last minute cancelled sessions, no vacation pay, bad benefits). Last minute cancellation policy is rediculous. I would drive to a session at least once a week and my client wouldn't be there and I would be out of luck with just 20 minutes of pay.

Pros

Working at ACES I was able to work with some wonderful families and their children. I met one great supervisor that really taught me a lot and supported me through some tough cases.

Cons

Lack of training, lack of support, lack of communication and lack of management. Being new to the field I felt very unprepared and had no support. Supervisors were not supportive of interventionists and were treated like we were a joke to the company. I recall at the company Christmas party a comment that was announced to the room, "even the INTERVENTIONISTS can win gifts at the raffle". That's how separated the behavioral interventionists are to the rest of the company when they're the ones doing the toughest part of the job.

Pros

Working with children in different settings. A lot of freedom to utilize your creativity to see what works and what doesn't. Allows you to be very independent and build good relationships and learn helpful skills.

Cons

Low pay, biased workers, playing favorites, no promotions, little support from company. You get a company iPad but it's only for "clocking in and out." What's the point of giving me $500 device to clock in and out if I can't let my kids use it as reinforcement. I'd rather have that $500 in a bonus check or a raise. A lot of times parents will cancel, and it's hard to maintain steady hours. The worse is when you're already at the location for session and no one tells you your client cancelled.
