Good experience, but Difficult work culture and aggressive work environment

1) Opportunity to work on software development using latest technologies. 2) Seniors are talented and share the technical knowledge, which help people to enhance their skills 3) You get the work of your choice If you ask for and show hard working attitude. 4) Very co-operative teams.

Cons

1) Very aggressive work culture and poor management. 2) Tight (very absurd ) deadlines leading to bad work/life balance. 3) Too many processes which ideally are very good for the business, but no sufficient time provided by Management to successfully follow them.

Pros

The Austin ACI office has genuinely friendly people, a casual work environment, a wide range of technologies, and an incredible number of opportunities for self starters. Plus free breakfast tacos on friday mornings!

Cons

Unfortunately the S1 Austin office was already going downhill prior to the acquisition by ACI. The focus was on a poor work-life balance, unmanageable workload, toxic work environment with no support - or outright sabotage by a now-fired department head, and 15+ year old legacy software that was never updated. After the acquisition, the entire product base and office was left in limbo, with no direction being provided by management and the environment further dropping the already low morale and explaining constant exodus of employees. Attempts to play musical chairs with the seating arrangement, organizational structure, and product lifecycle du jour were all meaningless 'solutions' that avoided the real problems. If there were aggressive changes by management to provide discrete direction, this could be a very fun place to work, but I don't see that happening.
