Great company to get an introduction into the payments and fintech space.
Cons
Too much bureaucracy and company politics prevent things from often moving forward. There is a noticeable lack of urgency, action and tangible results when it comes to the sales development team and all adjacent departments. Churn rate is a concern, & is alarmingly high for both SDR & new business developers (commonly known as AEs). Don’t expect to come into this role & do your job like normal SDR roles. Every step of the way will be met with added operational hurdles to prevent new business prospects from meeting with the company. The company was recently rumoured in the media to be acquired, so it’s becoming clear that upper management is taking actions to reduce headcount & divvy up the remaining workload among the remaining workers to help the bottom line. And for all of those reasons, I’m out. I would not recommend ACI as a company for your long term career goals if you work in the payments industry (or in SaaS sales) because there is zero career progression opportunity in this department.
