Pros

Free, relaxed atmosphere, business casuals dress code. Competitive pay (as long as the client decides not to withdraw the project, that is!)

Cronyism Lack of good clients No technical excellence centers Lack of processes Incompetent managers, ignorant of technology Arbitrary decision making Lack of long term vision Abroad opportunities only for management's favourites

Pros

Salary. This is the only Pro that anyone who is a lateral joinee would say. Other than this nothing else.

Cons

1) Unprofessional middle management for NISD Bangalore 2) No transparency to team members(even to seniors the informations are not revealed) 3) Every human resource in NISD Bangalore is treated as a bonded slave 4) Lot of false promises given to lateral joinees who are highly experience to make them to join a new "big customer win". But after the contract is signed, they are treated very very badly. 5) Middle management always thinks that senior resources earn higher salary. And want to run the ODC with junior resource with less salary to show big profit. 6) No flexibility in work. Very very micro-managing environment in NISD- Bangalore. 7) In every opportunity middle management harasses senior people by saying "highly experienced people are drawing more salary and not working upto that". 8)People who are at director level are playing a complete spoil-sport both in terms of people management and customer interfacing. Director level people behaving like newly promoted managers, and are completely ill-treating senior resources
