Pros

Working at the back end of the lane. Monthly meetings had raffles to win stuff. Had a great boss that cared about his employees.

Cons

There was a lot of favoritism and preferential treatment. Lane leaders would single you out if they weren't partial to you.

Pros

ADESA's largest pro is that they rely on large fleet & factory customers not wanting to put all of their eggs in one basket(Manheim). People at the auctions are the life blood of the company, they do a good job of taking care of customers.

Cons

Too many to mention. Heavy in corporate employees that have zero auction experience. Almost zero understanding of their customer's(auto dealers) retail processes and how they play into their wholesale strategy. ADESA is still run like a private company, rampant nepotism, many corporate VPs, Executive Directors, Directors, etc... don't have the chops to make simple business decisions. Reporting is wildly sporadic and unreliable. ADESA recently entered the tech space, or tried to, both will be failures because they don't understand nor have the people to drive it.

Pros

Not always at the site/lot, Occasionally get to drive a cool car...

Cons

Laid off 50-60 people with no warning, acted as if everything was fine and had a "meeting" disguised as a mass firing. Few hours, low pay, no benefits. Driving junkers hoping to make it back, working in extreme heat with cars that don't have ac or have working windows, working in extreme cold with cars that don't have heat or having to shovel cars out of dealerships, and the lot.
