Less job growth, you have Market yourself than your manager realizing your talents, you dont tell your doing great job expect less hikes and promotions

Pros

There are bright spots within the organization and some really great people to work with and for. And the industry itself is very interesting.

Cons

pervasive attitude of some management has become that anyone can likely be rplaced by someone that can do the job faster, better, cheaper or not replaced at all. Hard cost savings are being attained at the expense of customer service and satisfaction, the very things that used to set us apart.

Pros

There is not much over time in the area I work. It's a pretty straight 40hrs and you’re done. The flexibility of start and end time for salary employees is great.

Cons

The company consistently pays about 2-10% below market. They heavily use salary compression to promote from within. A completely new job with new title will at most raise you 12% some employees have only received 3% when a 15-20% raise would put them in line with the market..
