More sales less service

Pros

Company vehicle. Good teammates. Good pay.

Cons

Job has become a lot less about fixing problems and taking care of existing customers and a lot more about getting in and out as quickly as possible. No more can we spend the time needed to keep us from being needed again. More emphasis on selling new equipment instead of fixing what they have. Not accountability in terms of installing as long as you have sold more than the customer needs.

Pros

Stable continuous work. have stable job security. Benefits kick in after 30 days. Time off was given right away. Flexible with leave time. If you want to get a job here keep it for 30 years and leave this is the place for you.

Cons

There is no opportunity for advancement. Technicians unlikely to be removed from the field. The skills they look for in managers are clerical. No craftsmanship is cultivated and workmanship is allowed to fall short due to lack of knowlage and drive for excellence by managers.

Pros

You are not trapped in an office all day. You get to meet people. The work is challenging; you never know what you will run across. If you want to move, it is possible to transfer.

Cons

The company does not care about its employees or its customers. they prefer to hire unskilled workers at a low rate rather than pay those who know what they are doing, what they are worth. The parts you need to do the repairs are never available when needed. managers expect techs to lie to customers on a regular basis. they are very sexist. I have only met one female tech in 20 years working there even though I have worked out of 8 branches. I heard there are 2 of them.
