Wide range of services within one company. International reach of office network and possibility of global mobility. International atmosphere and plenty of "english speaking" opportunities. Highly driven career development systems.

Cons

Slightly "silos" division between business lines and departments. No coordination between departments that could support each other in work development. Lack of visibility of leadership direction for people on the bottom. Low engagement by the employees.

This is a big company, so I'm sure experiences vary, but my managers are awesome and most people in my office are relaxed and talented. People tend to stay off my back and let me manage my own workload. I also find it a big plus to work in the environmental business line, as I get to support a lot of noble clean-up projects.

Cons

We just acquired another company, URS, and it's a bit of a crap-shoot with people being thrown together who are used to different systems and policies. There's a lot of growing pains with this right now. There's also more red-tape/top-down-decision-making than you would like to see.
