Pros

Good location, flexible hours, decent co-workers, interesting work. Occasional boxes of donuts and monthly pizza lunches keep the majority of pee-ons quiet.

Cons

Work performance is irrelevant, sucking up to appropriate people is better. Raises, especially as a senior in any capacity are basically non-existent. One half percent to a whopping 1.5 percent are considered good! Times are tough and the CEO and other management cronies need their bonuses after all. 100 dollars less to each employee across the globe adds up to a lot of cash for management bonuses. Regular workers don't get bonuses and rarely a thank you or even acknowledgement of existence unless they should dare to be sick for more than 3 days in a row. HR is a joke at best - don't EVER go to them regarding a conflict between a manager and yourself. They run to the manager and blab word for word what was discussed. Shamefully unprofessional! I could go on for ever and a day, but this isn't the preview for a book, just take my word for it. This isn't a good company if you are looking for huge job satisfaction. Tolerable at best. A good ol' boys club.

Pros

The company has a global presence and a works on a broad range of advanced technical projects of all sizes. Has a vast pool of extremely technical employees with a historically powerful work ethic.

Cons

Many competing companies were acquired, thrown into a blender, had their history wiped cleaned, and had a generic company logo thrown over their eyes. There have been design standardization growing pains, a struggle amongst technical experts to advance, and a lack of forming centralized design groups to foster technical advancement. Upper level management and leadership positions seem to change on almost a monthly basis and its often hard to say who's at the wheel. Accounting responsibilities have continuously been shifted more and more to the technical employees who are supposed to be working for clients.

Pros

Mega projects and good benefits.

Cons

The middle management promotes among themselves even if it does not make sense. Why will promote a person that have not won any work for the office, why? They have to many young middle management people with no experience or connections. Everywhere that I go is the same thing, you win projects because you prove yourselves as competent and experienced on matter not because you are the president of such and such association or because you know the president of this other association and go golfing with him. AECOM middle management does not have the know how therefore they can't win.
