      Not a very good experience.

      Pros

      Very senior management is good. The work is generally interesting. Not continuously high pressure. Co-workers are nice. Facilities are good.

      Cons

      Many issues with several projects ranging from invoicing to operations keep the customers on their case, resulting in a usually defensive posture and bad relationships. Many of those problems are never given longterm fixes and are repeated, causing sometimes simultaneous brushfires. There are some favorites who can't do anything wrong, even though their projects are continuously suffering. Things are not always but too often chaotic.

      There are some wonderful employees at AECOM.

      Cons

      Very top-heavy. Confusing management structure. Lack of training. Lack of advancement opportunity. Cumbersome red tape for most administrative functions.

      Excellent direct supervisors and excellent work group Good perks like free snacks, drinks, and coffee Great starting salary for an intern Good office location in a public transportation hub Good technology help and good response with supply requests Professional yet relaxed atmosphere Really encourage long-term career advancement Very flexible with working hours, dress code, sick leave, and life-work balance

      Cons

      It is a huge company, which can be good and bad. It is bad in the sense that all separate entities do not seem fully integrated. Very minimal downsides. Being in a downtown environment means traffic is a bear No other interns at the office for camaraderie
