Pros

- Great pay - Smart people - All the resources in the world can be promised.

Cons

- If you are in a remote part of the country, all resources are promised but none can be delivered. - Attorneys will make sure you never have a signed MSA. - Employment is week to week depending on your utilization. - If you are in a satellite office you really don't exist and you have no future within AECOM. At best you are a hired mercenary focused on bringing in as much money in as short time as possible. - AECOM answers to its shareholders, not its clients or employees. - Zero client focus, driven from the top down. - AECOM does not take the long term view, they don't care if they burn bridges or ruin client relationships as so long as they have made money. - Chases projects, not clients.

No vision - just worried about current quarter

Pros

Some solid potential. There still are some good clients. Good team members. Benefits are good - with perks if you know where to look because of buying power.

Cons

No leadership - they completely have blinders on. They feel that email blasts are not just communication, but effective communication. No opportunity for advancement or salary increases - it effectively costs you money to stay at AECOM because, while executive pay increased over 40% 2013-2014, the average increase for the people producing the product that is sold was less than the cost of living increase in the US.

Working at AECOM

Pros

Good People to work with who care about their jobs

Cons

Management could care less if people stay or leave. Everyone is just a number. A lot of corporate policies put in place hinder work productivity and only serve as distractions from the real work. Utilization metric is overbearing, and the company basically wants you to do non-billable work requirements, e.g. trainings, etc. on your own time
