      AECOM Appears to be Shedding Military Contracts

      Pros

      None if you plan to make a career working on military contracts.

      Cons

      Minimal support for existing military contracts. I worked for URS on a long term (15+ years) military contract. Within six months of being acquired by AECOM the work culture became an impersonal and sterile working environment. Despite having long-term success and experience working on military contracts for URS, AECOM did not attempt to place any employees into their current DOD contracts.

      Pros

      The pay was great, and there was lots of overtime.

      Cons

      I worked for URS Corp. before it was acquired by AECOM. At my specific location, management was far more interested in production than the safety of its workers. We had one of the only actual exposures Mustard in USA Military history for USA workers. The employee (who now WILL die from Cancer)was fired, while management suffered no repercussions. They also began building a case for firing you the very first day you started.

      Sometimes they have snacks and free lunches Some of your co-workers will be decent

      Cons

      Management is terrible and does a horrible doing training new hires, as well as issuing work out. It's a crappy environment to work in. It's very competitive for no actual reason. Much of your time will be spent doing nothing.
