Pros

Very much people oriented place to work.Management is committed to fulfill the world's need of electricity and holistically strive for the best as long as this is not contradictory to the AES values. Once you work in AES you become ambassador of this organization forever.

Cons

AES has provided such working atmosphere that it has spoiled me for the rest of the market.

Pros

Excellent experience due to the complex and extremely international business model. Great benefits in terms of long term compensation (only offered to Managers and above), as well as great maternity leave policy (3 full paid months)

Cons

The semi decentralization model can result in some lake of ownership / accountability in some respects though the company has been trying to correct and has accomplished significant success. Providing opportunity for career progression within the company has been deteriorating due to downsizing.
