Pros

The firm offers strong intern and analyst training programs that equip analysts with the skills and confidence to take ownership of live deal files earlier than many peers at comparable institutions. There are clear opportunities for long-term growth, including the ability to progress internally and move across offices, supporting both professional development and geographic flexibility. The culture is another major positive, with a genuine sense of camaraderie among analysts and deal teams that makes demanding work more collaborative and rewarding. For those interested in technology investment banking, I highly recommend AGC and am very grateful for my experience here.

Cons

Hours are typical for the industry and are manageable.

Pros

I had an amazing summer interning at AGC Partners. From day one, the quick learning curve kept me engaged and challenged. I was able to contribute meaningfully to live deals almost immediately. The level of deal exposure was far beyond what many of my peers at other firms experienced, giving me a real sense of the day-to-day work in investment banking. The team culture was a standout: everyone was approachable, willing to answer questions, and genuinely invested in helping me succeed. The mentorship I received was invaluable, and the company outings and informal team interactions made the office an enjoyable and collaborative place to be.

Cons

The fast pace can be intense at times, especially early on, but it’s a great environment if you’re looking to learn quickly and take on responsibility.

Pros

AGC puts a ton of responsibility on you early on. You learn to be a professional early on and it embodies that 5 years of experience compressed into 1 year. You carry the weight behind a lot of the modeling and workstreams. Bigger firms distribute that responsibility to multiple groups, but AGC really puts it on you. It can be stressful and nerve racking but once you get the hang of it especially with the guidance of your VP and Associate, it feels empowering (i.e. proceeds waterfall or customer file analysis) Live deal engagement. AGC brings on a ton of the growth- stage late venture companies. So you get a lot of exposure to businesses post-VC investment or bootstrapped on the forefront of technology. It also means learning to get gritty just like these entrepreneurs. Lots of senior attention, work pretty closely with Partners on the deal on a daily basis. Some are more personable than others but all are willing to teach.

Cons

AGC has always been a place with a lot of hours required but you're trying to distill 5-7 years of experience in 1-2 years
