Pros

Gives new college grads corporate work experience, including various types of software and communicating with colleagues at various levels.

Cons

VERY clique-y. A few full grown adults, but the vast majority are very, very clique-y. Promotions, raises, etc felt dependent on who you socialized with as much as or more than the work you did. It was like getting (under)paid to go to high school.

Pros

Management regularly provides updates on success/failures via a Town Hall format. I find this information to be very insightful to the state of the company.

Cons

AIG recently switched to a pay for performance system. This is a pro and a con. It is a pro because if you perform well, you have the potential to earn bonuses that would far exceed your merit increase. The con is that these bonuses are dependent on the financial success of the company. Although the company is doing well now, that is a concern for the future. However, if you receive a promotion, you will receive a base salary increase.
