Pros

-Great office setup and locations -Great coworkers - Fantastic as a stepping stone job to grad school or if you don't know what you want to do -Pay increases rapidly if you perform well -Leaders seem to genuinely want to make it a better place to work , long term I anticipate things being even better in the future. -Full time employment with benefits and retirement plan

Cons

-Compensation for leadership duties isn't nearly as competitive as tutoring -Work life balance is a huge issue -Lots of menial leadership tasks -No downtime at work, be prepared to be 'on' the entire time -Not really a con, but you need to be GOOD at and passionate about teaching

Pros

Flexible scheduling Working outside of peak rush hour times Nice offices Snacks Co workers are in general amazing The students are great and actually teaching is fun Actually really great company but needs to evolve faster structurally

Cons

Male dominated (mansplaining etc.) Tutoring hours minimum burns out good leaders When Leadership actively tell tutors to not seek promotions (heard frequently) that is not a good sign. Leadership team ends up making less than full time veteran tutors. Not enough community building and social events in offices Meetings repeat the same information that could be sent in an email

Pros

-We work as a team to accomplish great things, while always encouraging individual excellence -Supportive tutoring environment. Tutors always have a team leader and/or mentor they can turn to when they have a questions about content, parent communication, etc. -Awesome admin team! Office managers are always looking for ways to keep the office running smoothly and keep all the tutors happy!

Cons

-For tutors, it is necessary to determine your work/life balance and make sure that you're taking time off while also making sure to respond to parents and students in a timely manner
