Pros
You're rewarded with a 6 figure salary and company car but that comes at a cost.
Cons
As much as the Directors and VPs advocate that Aldi invests in their training and people, they don't realize that a District Manager's training largely depends on who they are paired with throughout the different phases. Although there are structured training journals, benchmarks, and performance reviews, there is no consistent approach to how trainers guide trainees during their training period. Some trainers are resourceful and genuinely want you to succeed, while others may cover the material once and then expect you to manage on your own. Asking questions about previously covered material will make some trainers scold you. While Aldi invests significant time and money into DM training, it doesn't sufficiently address the quality of those who conduct the training. When I was training, the advice I received from other DM's was to not trust anyone. I think that speaks for itself in representing the "fake" team culture.
