Pros

Very useful employee health insurance at a very cheap price for ex: $10-12 per paycheck & that is for everything. Medical, dental, vision, prescription. Thats a steal.

Cons

Aldi tell you to treat customers, the "ALDI" way. And that is to push customers to put stuff on the belt faster. Or to multi task while a customer is putting stuff on the belt. Its horrible. I know Aldi's groceries are cheap and people will come back. But that is absolutely no way to treat a customer. If you are a male, you have to shave every day. No exception. Your face will be irritated. There is no other grocery store that will require you to do this. paying $12-13 to cashiers and squeezing every penny from that $12-13. Its a company policy to work with haste. If your store is on the low selling part of the city, you are basically screwed. Because you are going to have to work faster and clock out quicker to not make a loss. Its so messed up. Have to take orders from some just out the college graduate who doesn't have any experience in sale. Bottom line, they tell you to treat customers in a very nasty way. And once the customer complain about you, on strict 3, they'll fire you in a very humiliating way. I've seen people not lasting in stores for not more than 2-3 months.

Pros

Fast pace work load and great pay. ALDI is flat out a hard job and takes getting used to but once you do, your work day flies by. It's not for everybody and people tend to quit very quickly. If you have a good work ethic, ALDI is a great place to be.

Cons

High turn over, # of hours per week fluctuates, no fixed schedules for anybody even management, You get sick pay and personal days but management WILL make you feel guilty for using it. ALDI is so short handed all the time that if you call in sick, often there is nobody who can replace you. It is also company policy that you are responsible for finding somebody to replace you. I got the flu once and wasn't able to leave my bed. When I called in sick my manager gave me a list of people to contact over the phone and just said "you'll have to get somebody to cover you".
