Pros

Tightly knit company. Executive management usually has the best intentions. The annual bonus can be quite nice (if you are at the right pay scale).

Cons

The people with the right qualifications are almost never assigned to work on what they are qualified for. The company lacks a clear vision where it wants to go both technically and market wise. Too many employees who have been with the company for 10-25 years and fear any opportunities to make visible decisions.

Good products overall. Can be a good company with right leadership.

Cons

Product updates/improvements takes too long. Management seems completely out of touch much of the time. New comp plan is terrible. Unrealistic sales expectations in current economy. Shop management programs too old, hard to use..
