Pros
The company is so supportive of employees and strives to create a great experience for them- there are a plethora of employee social events and great perks. The projects are engaging and exciting. I get to work on things I am interested in. The company has a mindset of constant improvement, always trying to make itself better. Work-life balance is extremely important to ALTEN. Management tries its hardest to ensure that employees are not working much more than an average of 40 hours per week. The 9/80 schedule means that every other Friday is off! There is a large amount of flexibility on work styles- for most departments, you can choose whether you work fully in person, fully remote, or hybrid, as well as which days to work from home.
Cons
Pay may not be as high as bigger companies, but ALTEN does a better job at prioritizing work-life balance and great culture. Sometimes it's hard to get to know employees from other departments.
