Pros

The number one and best reason for working at AMC was the free movies. It is also, like any other job, a semi-decent place to meet new people. Do not expect to gain new, real and true friends, however. I did meet my husband here, but, he was the one in a million of terrible people that visit the movie theater on a regular basis.

Cons

You often have to deal with the "scum of the earth" that visit frequently; they have no manners, and no respect for anyone. They want to be handed out freebies and the managers will respond to them with kindness. The managers will then turn on you as if you are the one in the wrong. I often had to clean up "protein spills" (AKA vomit) with not even the slightest "thank you" or sign of appreciation from management.

Pros

Great people and staff. It is a a great place if you want to work with other people, and work on your customer service skills.

Cons

I would say that the worst part of being a manager is having to work with apathetic teenagers. These kids don't understand that even though you don't want to be an usher for the rest of your life, your next employer will call us to see how you did. And if you have a piss-poor attitude, and were texting all day, we will tell them that. This generation needs to take pride in their work, and not act entitled to praise when it is not earned.
