Pros

Free movies at any AMC Theater as long as you have your home theater call in for you. Management will easily transfer you to another theater if you request it.

Cons

I worked at a flagship AMC with 20 registers lined up in a row and was cross-trained as an usher, cleaner, and was primarily working concession. Whenever an ICEE machine broke down, no one did anything to help the case because there were more machines, even if that meant having to run from the first register to the 20th for just one customer. No career advancement opportunities whatsoever unless you've been working there for many years. At my branch, breaks were not allowed, even after working 8 consecutive hours (unless you're a minor). You seldom work the hours you are appointed, usually end up working more hours each day.

While working at AMC you can expect to work flexible hours, watch movies for free. You will meet interesting people while developing essential work skills with great advancement opportunities .

Cons

You will be required to work nights and weekends and most holidays, many guests that come to see movies will be rude and unfriendly

Pros

Free movies, although it's only for you, immediate family, and ONE guest. Free popcorn and drinks during shifts. Flexible weekday hours for students. Coworkers are always friendly (because you have to band together against the management). Certain duties don't require thinking (ushering and cleaning about).

Cons

Stubs. They push employees to sell Stubs like crazy and it's one of the factors that gets evaluated every 6 months on the employee evaluation (along with friendliness, cleanliness, and quickness). There are even AMC mystery shoppers that are hired to check that employees try to sell the Stubs card for EVERY TRANSACTION. If somebody fails it, they're fired. Quick turnover. Once a new group has been hired, a group of people get (arbitrarily?) fired, making the new hires nervous to keep their jobs and the veterans even more nervous. And obviously customers will make messes and will make a fuss about anything and everything.
