Pros

-Free Movies whenever you aren't working. -Free concession stand stuff -Some of the "pros" are really nice and fun to work with. -You do learn a lot about the work place and how to handle people. -Quick paced, so your shifts generally go INCREDIBLY quick.

Cons

-Management was a pain. -Movies that are big names like the Dark Knight swamp you for days and you generally get over 40 hours (which is good AND bad) -You stink of popcorn everyday

Pros

You get a paycheck, free movies, and half price food when you work - that's about it.

Cons

Health insurance is terrible, opportunities for advancement is based on who you know, you have to work every premiere of a big movie, you have to work all major holidays, your hard work isn't noticed and doesn't count towards advancing your career, other co-workers slack off making your job harder, at the location I work the servers only take orders and drop off checks, the Bussers run the food adn beverages to guests and the servers get the tips. I might also add that AMC Theatres is thinking about selling out to a company in China so this company is getting ready to go downhill in terms of growth.

Pros

It's an easy enough job with flexible hours. Free tickets to as many movies as you could possibly watch. That's it.

Cons

Some supervisors and managers can be incompetent. Film crew members dating higher-ups can lead to obvious favoritism. Pay is minimum wage (but considering the little amount of effort required, can't complain too much.) Theaters are just downright filthy (ushers are encouraged to just pick up the big stuff, and push the smaller stuff under the chairs.) Some higher-ups have a lack of respect for crew members.
