Pros

I really liked that I got the opportunity to work extra hours which gave me more money! They were also pretty good about giving you time off when you requested it. They're pretty flexible with your schedule during the week as long as you can work weekends. All the managers were really nice at the location I worked at.

Cons

There was not really anything too horrible about working at AMC. The only thing I disliked is that I got so used to working in guest services that whenever I'd get a shift other than guest services or booth, i'd dread coming in. Of course weekends were really busy and it can get stressful at times but that's something you should expect when you apply.

Pros

- Free films for you and another at virtually any AMC theater in the country, anytime (public demand permitting on new/busy releases) - Employee-only screenings of films before theatrical release - Entertainment industry-driven work keeps things exciting - Promotion opportunities arise relatively easily with the expressed desire for new responsibilities

Cons

- Low pay for the sometimes very heavy amount of labor and stress - Raises/bonuses extremely hard to come by - Conditions and pacing of work complicate breaks and lunches very often, resulting in short or no breaks at all (especially a problem at the management level)

Pros

When you are a crew member you don't always work the same job. I listed concessions as by title because I was always there but you also usher, ticket take, and work box office. The best part about working there was getting free stuff when you hit average for the night or when you sold a certain amount of product. They have a lot of movie stuff (posters, shirts, etc) that you can get for your hard work.

Cons

They pay minimum wage, guests and crowds can be a challenge on the weekends, you often do not get as many hours as you would like, and they have a call in hours where you have to call and find out if you have to work or not. (Can plan much).
