Don't Work Here

Pros

-Working with many co-workers who you often become friends with -Free Movies -Free popcorn and soda -Variety of people visiting theater

Cons

The pay is way to low for the time, effort, and constant work that the employees put forward. You will have to pick up the slack for bad employees. Managers often play favorites. You will be put in harder positions because other co-workers are too lazy to do the harder jobs correctly. You can't wear sneakers during your all day shifts. After work you smell of stale popcorn. Don't expect to have a life, you will be worked as much and often as possible. Guests become very mad and yell at workers for other employee's work or uncontroable factors. Teenage co-workers create lots of drama. Working at AMC is like being in a high school class, drama, workers not putting forth effort, and good workers being blamed and working 10 times harder than they should.

Decent place to work

Pros

Somewhat flexible scheduling that you can make on your own Management is attentive and fair See movies for free! You can also bring a friend to see for free too

Cons

Hours can be brutal (5pm - 3 am friday/saturday), and trains are terrible at night +2 hours to get home. Low pay. Enough said. You can have terrible co-workers, considering the pay usually means young (snobby / arrogant / lazy) workers. Older workers (I'm talking above 50 years old) move too slow for their position, and you have to pick up their slack. The "break room" was small and crowded when you can have 10-15 people there at the same time

Great summer job, not so much long-term.

Pros

Great summer/teen job, flexibility, free movies is a great perk only if you're really into movies. Pay is not amazing, but is sufficient for a part-time job.

Cons

Communication is often lacking, career advancement is somewhat slow (ie. they base a lot of your skill on selling overpriced food items), management is frustrating to deal with to get honest and open answers (This varies of course, and can happen in any company).
