      Pros

      Great first job for many high school students. While not demanding ,it is a very fast-paced environment requiring a lot of energy when working certain areas. This is especially true during the summer or with big box office releases. The opportunity to advance is there if initiative is shown, however the company has steadily cut the amount of supervisor positions available in certain areas of the market. Staff is always friendly and high-energy resulting in a very good work environment.

      Cons

      Corporate mentality of 'do more with less' is the least bit effective, resulting in very long lines because of the low amount of staff scheduled. The incredibly low pay in areas just outside of Chicago (where minimum wage is now $10/hr) Film Crew start out at $8.25/hr. Seniority has no effect on wage nor the potential for a raise. That being said, raises are only ever given once a year and are not dependent on the work you put in but instead how you interact with management. Favoritism may not be company-wide, instead location specific and has prevented great workers from moving up in favor of poor quality employees. Turnover rate is at a 100% and has been ever since I started.

      Pros

      Easy and fun job. Not too demanding. Free Movies. Raise every 6months. Very flexible work schedule.

      Cons

      Minimum wage for what seems to be more difficult than a minimum wage job. Late nights occasionally (2/3am). Free movies no longer apply to family members. Raise is only 5/10/20 cents. Only a max of 28hours a week. No holiday pay.

      Pros

      My management: Managers and Supervisors a like, are some of the best managing persons around. We have fun from the moment I clock in, even during long shifts, or scheduled stints (getting scheduled several days in a row). We work hard, but we also play hard too. I've recommended several people to get hired and all of them have stayed at least a year so far. I feel like I'm always apart of the team, and that my opinions and ideas are considered. I enjoy the schedule flexibility, I am sometimes having to be gone on the weekends every so often, so it makes it very easy to be scheduled when I need to and can be.

      Cons

      Due to our location, I feel that we are heavily challenged to have adequate staffing sometimes. We have so many places to work around us! I'm not saying this is a bad thing, but we definitely feel it when we get really busy. I wish we could be scheduled full-time, and also get time-and-a-half on holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. I also miss being able to bring in my immediate family members; the one person per employee restriction makes me sad, but I understand why it was implemented, I just hope maybe it gets re-evaluated.
