      Pros

      Ametek is a profitable company

      Cons

      People are not valued. The company will lay-off staff to make their quarterly earnings reports. It is a good ole boy, white male dominated organization. If you are looking for diversity & inclusion this is not your organization. There is unethical treatment and forms of bullying by some of the Presidents.

      Pros

      Location was convenient, parking was not an issue. Salary was below market but you could haggle prior to being hired.

      Cons

      Employees were almost viewed as a burden, as if they were getting in the way of management. Too many managers with unchecked privileges. Poor planning. Poor strategy. Very hierarchical. Self-motivated employees were viewed as "rogue". Do not recommend.

      Pros

      Pros of this place? Benefits and a steady paycheck. That's about it. 1 star for each of those to give this place 2/5 stars.

      Cons

      You are worked into the ground. You can't make plans because they spring mandatory OT on you at the last minute. Management doesn't care about the workers, to them you are just a number. This is something that they will tell you. People are afraid to speak up about anything because they fear losing their job. They only seem to want people who will keep their mouth shut and do what they are told. Have an issue they don't like and choose to voice it? They'll find a way to get rid of you. And by all means, don't mention unions. You'll find yourself being shown the front door as soon as they can find a "legal" reason to do so.
