Big corporate mentality. If sales do not meet forecast, expect layoffs/furloughs to recover for shareholder benefit. In my location, some mid level management tends to have less than professional management skills. Will throw employees under the bus for their own gain.

This organization was recently purchased by a larger "publically traded" company. Upper management is more concerned with making, by any means, production numbers, ("their" bonus), than maintaining the quality of the products or integrity of their methods.
