-Learn a lot about UEFI / BIOS. It good entry for a new guy. -Depending on your department, you may in touch with IHV, OEM, or in-house development.

Cons

-No one can fully understand the whole picture, so communication with other departments is necessary. -Low salary growth.

Cons

Very bad working culture at the Taipei office. People are so engaged with gossiping about each other, because they don't have other things to do. It is very damaging for effectiveness in the workplace. Lower average salary, no engagement of colleagues.
