Pros
AMI has a relaxed work environment and very knowledgeable and competent employees. Working there can be a great way to delve in the world of firmware and hardware, as well as make connections and possibly friends.
Cons
AMI is a very unstructured environment, which can make it a very fend for yourself kind of place. It's too large to have that lack of structure, and the personal politics can be difficult for someone to sort through, especially just starting out (and most new employees are fresh from college).
