Property and company nightmare

Good health and retirement benefits as well as bonus options.

Cons

Management is awful there is no family feel which is the complete opposite that you hear when interviewing. Always understaffed so you begin doing things your aren't even being paid enough to do. No matter how much you voice your opinions about issues going on at your property in hopes they will be addressed you are told to sit back "while things are handled" and nothing changes. Our property is falling apart and management is just watching it happen instead of being proactive. My manager sits back in the office texting away on her phone and playing with her hair caring less that people are piling up outside. They just don't care and it is so sad.

I love working for AMLI. There is a high standard of excellence and a high sense of accomplishment. You are treated fairly and rewarded nicely for consistent, solid work. We have fun together, work hard together and, always pat each other on the back. The culture is warm and collaborative - you get out what you put in. AMLI is constantly looking for different / better ways to use technology, marketing strategies and, improving the resident experience. They solicit ideas and promote conversation to improve processes for both the residents and employees. Working at AMLI means being part of something bigger than just you - YOU have a say in your work environment. YOU matter.

Cons

Good companies will always attract people who want to improve their work environment / career. At times, people will come to work for AMLI thinking that the company will somehow make them better. It is a collaborative effort to learn and grow - not everyone is willing to do their part.

Thank you for taking time to provide positive feedback on the AMLI FAMLI and our beautiful portfolio of proprieties. Regarding your suggestions - AMLI pays competitively within our markets and our employees have opportunities for bonuses, commissions and incentive plans, depending on the position. 401(k) match of 50% is a very common matching %. Also, AMLI housing discounts are not always capped at 20%. We offer more significant employee discounts at our higher end properties. In 2016, even more properties will be eligible for the higher discount. The discount caps at one employee discount per 100 units (industry standard) and does not include the free housing for assigned maintenance employees who are required to live onsite.
