Upper management does a great job with connecting with employees on all levels. They are very responsive and easy to talk to.

Cons

The pay scale is mediocre, and work is not very rewarding.

Property and company nightmare

Good health and retirement benefits as well as bonus options.

Cons

Management is awful there is no family feel which is the complete opposite that you hear when interviewing. Always understaffed so you begin doing things your aren't even being paid enough to do. No matter how much you voice your opinions about issues going on at your property in hopes they will be addressed you are told to sit back "while things are handled" and nothing changes. Our property is falling apart and management is just watching it happen instead of being proactive. My manager sits back in the office texting away on her phone and playing with her hair caring less that people are piling up outside. They just don't care and it is so sad.

Solid passionate Leadership - Specifically, CEO, President, and most SVP's I've held many positions with AMLI. Working onsite at communities and in the corporate office. Upper Management has shown genuine interest in my individual career growth. This was proven when they not only supported my return to AMLI after I left for a year to work for a competitor, they supported my desire to grow with the company. I was given the support I needed to finish two college degrees and a career change to grow within AMLI. Encourages personal growth Promotes collaborative environment. Many really good employees as internal resources when working on projects or work issue/problems. Many opportunities for advancement in different departments is there if you want it and go for it. AMLI offers Tuition Reimbursement Awards, recognition, bonuses Mentor program available Contemporary office furnishings in the new Chicago office. New, light and bright. (see cons below) The Chicago corporate office is located in a great location and their are a lot of lunch choices or after work dining spots, which is a plus.

Cons

No terrible Cons, obviously because I've been here a long time and have no plan to leave. Does not currently support work from home opportunities in Chicago corporate office. Office layout is open concept. Some who like privacy may find that there is no privacy with glass offices. Loud talking, food smells, etc. You get used to it, but if your new to open concept, be prepared. Corporate politics - It's anywhere you go. The office temperature is 100% always freezing and there's no change season to season.
