Pros

Great place to work for. Everyone is generally nice.

Cons

They pay WAY below the national average. The company has also been on a hiring spree lately and we have run out of room in the San Diego office. Higher ups think we just need to "maximize our space", but I don't think they really know how bad it has gotten. They are squeezing in 3 people in small offices made for one person, and placing two people in a cube made for one person. They also have one fridge for about... 100 employees so if you bring your lunch, you literally have to shove your food in the fridge like a Japanese train during a busy morning commute.

Pros

Nice office, very friendly and approachable people, job security, good benefits, decent pay but barely enough to live comfortably in SD. But that's like many jobs in SD.

Cons

the people are overworked and underpaid, and this company has no sense of "fun". The company culture is uptight and political. Upper-level leaders (directors and higher) lack the communication skills necessary to support the people below them, and there is NO coaching or development for leaders once you reach Mgmt level. There is also a culture of separatism between sales and operations - there is no collaborative spirit, and this comes from the top down.

Pros

The sound of potentially earning over 6 figures after many, many years is somewhat intriguing. Some employees and managers are friendly and claim they want you to succeed.

Cons

Very alpha male environment. Base pay is very low (lower than industry standards). Takes several months to to get into the groove but management isn't willing to give you those months before reprimanding you. Very "old school" way of thinking - rigid "stick to the script and step-by-step process" only. No room for creativity or suggestions. Very, very, very micromanaged. Tools and resources to succeed don't really exist. Either you meet your daily metrics and monthly goals or you're out. If you struggle, management does not care to be leaders or guide you to success.
