Pros

It's a job. If you need a job, well, I guess there are worse ones. An Indonesian clothing sweatshop located in a decrepit, hazardous building without air conditioning would be worse I guess.

Cons

This company is top heavy. And the top gets paid pretty darn well (pres. - 1mm+, veeps-300k+) , while the middle and bottom is not allowed to go over 40 hours per week time-punch, even though there is no way these job could be done in just 40 hours per week. This company keeps the worker bee pool very lean, so a lot of responsibility is assinged to one person... so long long hours are the norm. But you cannot go over your 40 hours per week on the time card, so you have to fudge your time card or get a talking to. Oh, but you can leave an hour early on Fridays to make up for the extra 10 hours you put in for the week. Plus, every corporate buzzword that ever existed is routinely spouted about in meetings. Yes, here you can hear your Vice Presidents talk for an hour but never say anything. It's awesome. Corporate Buzzword Bingo is alive and well at AMN department meetings. Turnover is increasing. The company is heading toward hiring contractors only, and these poor shmucks get the shortest end of the stick. No benefits, long hours, and low pay. Plus, they do not treat mothers coming back from maternity leave well. You will either get demoted (not illegal, because, well, they at least didn't fire you), or will cut your responsibilities to the point where you are no longer needed, and then lay you off. This happened to one woman about 5 months after she returned. It was a deliberate, systematic railroading and she was a good, solid worker. The company is really doing all it can to kill morale. They are doing a great job at this.

Pros

The pay was decent, if you work overtime- which was expected. The training for the position was good and the training team offered support.

Cons

I interviewed for a management position, was offered an account manager position, then one month into training was told they didn’t have accounts for me and I would be covering other people’s desks. That meant my offer that included regular bonuses, no longer existed. Everyone is stressed, accounts are constantly lost or taken from competitors. Management is overly concerned with receiving unnecessary internal responses to the extent that you will get blacklisted from growing in the company or switching to another department. Management suggests to, “rebrand yourself” as if the employees are the issue. There are some directors that are good and well intentioned, but they keep their opinions to themself while the louder, uncultured and untrained directors speak their mind freely. You will succeed in this company if you say “how high” every time anyone asks you to jump, if you pretend like you are happy every second of every day, and if you constantly work overtime.

Pros

Remote, self-paced workflow, during previous CEO/President employees were well compensated.

Cons

Mass layoffs with no warning. Will lie about job security to keep you until the very last minute before firing you. Hired in a company from Bangladesh under the guise of "workload assistance", had us train them, told us that this would not be a replacement, then replaced us. Continuous contradictory information. Leadership is kept in the dark up to the last second, creating chaotic situations when information if finally distributed. Will cut/outsource jobs to hire in expensive, high leadership positions to create relationships with other companies. Told us that internal opportunities would be present for lateral movement, but then told us we could not apply to any new positions for several months AFTER our last day working. Employees with excellent reviews were cut, while employees consistently missing the mark and did not get merit increases are kept and promoted. Those cut were consistently picking up the work of those kept. Company is willing to lose a lot of smaller accounts to pick up one larger one. Strategically waited until after our company review to announce the layoff. Company placed the accolade of "great place to work" over the well being of it's employees.
