Pros

For the most part there were great people to work with (at least non-management).

Cons

They keep people who shouldn't have a job and force out the people who actually work but are so unhappy they leave.

Pros

Better paying than other commercial services I've worked for, lots of 911 calls and not just transfers all day, and the people are great. I have only worked this division so I can't speak for others, but the management here is easy to work with( there is always a bad apple or two ). High call volume in a diverse demographic area.

Cons

High call volume, so as with any EMS service, it's difficult to plan after work. Hard to get a full time spot and only rare chances for advancement. The few bad apples in management. Being "part time", it's hard to get extra shifts over 24 hours anymore. Had worked 40+ hours previously (Obama Care ??).
