Pros

This company is easy to become employed with. They have a large network across the country, so internal transfers to other locations are possible.

Cons

AMR is a corporation who is in the business to make money. You will most likely be treated as a number only. They strive to be non-union. There is not a lot of room for advancement.

Pros

Flexibility with scheduling, opportunities to continue career, 911 experience, work with fire, law enforcement, and hospital staff. You get to know your co-workers very well.

Cons

Management could use some updating. Union disagreements add to additional work annoyances. Low pay for considering what we do, always short staffed, rarely sleep on 24-72 hour shifts.
