      Pros

      it's a busy progressive system and there is plenty of over time. Great opportunity for experience.

      Cons

      You are not valued by the company. The fire departmens which you respond with are mostly terrible. horrible benefits and low pay for the work.

      Pros

      Good benefits/insurance, fast paced environment, primary 911, great coworkers, advancement opportunities, company policies protect from overworking

      Cons

      Morale was low. Your off time was more or less a suggestion even if it wasn't busy. Management was not always understanding of "life." Management would guilt trip you into working an open shift that needed to be filled.

      A pro with working in this company in Miami is that you respond to private 911 calls and respond with the county for BLS transports.

      Cons

      A con about working in this company but probably as an EMT anywhere is the pay. You're doing a lot of work for very little.
