Poorly Managed Company

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Good colleagues Okay compensation when you join (but no increments later) Good work / life balance

Cons

Very poorly managed, a lot of people who were working for more than 40 years took early retirement and a lot of people just left the company. Management seems not to care about the knowledge loss. Management seems not to care about loss in business and customers are not taken care of. No potential for career advancement. There is no bottom up communication. Company is top heavy (too many managers too less workers).

Pros

- Somewhat interesting work - Decent Products and internal production

Cons

- Too many to list ... - Worthless and corrupt upper management that is often hypocritical in their decision making. This new regime is awful and is destroying the company from within in order to quickly cash out their stock options and sell the company after re-financing on their loans twice now (check with Moody's reports for details) - Counter-productive and incompetent HR that often acts in bad faith. If someone from the API Heat Transfer HR group ever approaches you for a job, don't take the bait! - Very high turnover and often positions are left vacant to the point were entire groups cannot function - Very low pay and ever decreasing benefits. HR will lie to you in order to get you to sign on the dotted line - Outdated IT and ERP system (minor but it is a problem)
