Old school "good ol boy" company being taken over by a corporation
Pros
Employees are kind, friendly, and tolerating the changing company for personal reasons, not because they are happy with the employer/company.
Cons
-A lot of micromanagement even after years of employment. Although its said being assertive is encouraged, any time you do you are restrained quickly. -Inconsistent processes due to corporate overtaking the company -Established employees (been there for decades) have had benefits taken from them. -Mixed messages and/or no communication concerning the company policies/handbook-one learns by doing some thing incorrectly -Must be there 8 years to acquire a third week of PTO-they do NOT want to keep their employees. -Many employees talked of feeling like a "robot" -Inconsistencies in the way employees are treated. -Uncompassionate for personal trials and tribulations. -A lot of employees have been leaving in the last year (over 5), these employees were new (1+ year at company) to the company and were not happy with pay and management-employees that are not leaving have been there for 8+ years, have that third week of PTO and are comfortable and not yet frustrated enough to look for work elsewhere.
