Small environment, great working conditions
Pros
This office is small, but I am given the leverage to do my job as the sole IT person on staff here. The office is older, but recent office manager change had brought positive changes that help boost productivity and help feel good about coming to work. The developers I work with are all engaged and help make the work day less stressful and more positive. Perks to the job in general: full health benefits, wellness program (gym membership reimbursement, free snacks, milk, cereal, coffee and juices. Training offered to help improve current skills or learn new skills.
Cons
Some level of disorganization on who I report to and with trying to help cover IT needs. Communication not up to a level when others are brought in to help with system management. There are some signs that this is improving, but it needs to be better. No paid parking or public transportation passes.
