Pros

None. Don't work here. Toxic workplace and out-of-touch C-Suite changing every 6 months - 1 year.

Cons

- Waterfall development masquerading as Agile (Gantt Charts Galore!) - Pay is mediocre - Discussions of pay will be met with some version of 'we want to hire the right people, not people that want to get paid well'. - Any US engineering hires will quickly replace with India / Argentina-based workers. - None of the interns in the past year have received job offers despite glowing recommendations. - US job listings are now 'hybrid' but they don't consider anyone not near US office locations. - C-Suite likes to market a culture of questioning existing practices to improve processes but makes carte blanc statements like 'no code that's AI Generated' without understanding what AI Code generation could be. - Lack of good management. - Loves process (nothing gets done and it takes 3 months to approve a Pull Request) - Everyone is overworked 10+ hours a day

Pros

- Smart engineers trying their best to make durable and innovative products. - Worldly company, the overall staff composition is varied across many timezone, cultures and countries

Cons

Sadly it can be summed in two words: Meat Grinder The place is an constant revolving door of talent, legitimate world class talent that can put the company on a path to real growth and success is stifled to the point where they just quit (with almost no notice). Nearly the entire c-suite has been rotated (numerous times). There are moments where we join a company all-hands meeting (at the time 500+ employees) the CEO just ghosts the entire company, a no show. The CISO quit recently. It should be no surprise the previous CTO quit because of this behavior. The new CTO comes from Microsoft and just seems to be cargo culting their practices. Shipping everything to India to cut payroll costs to the extreme and the existing employee base is left trying to figure out how they will work with team members 12-16 hours away. Nobody sleeps, everyone is exhausted, burnt-out and focused solely on planning their escape.

Leadership needs serious work

Pros

The benefits package is comprehensive and the salary is decent.

Cons

The majority of the leadership team doesn’t care about putting the well-being and happiness of ASAPP employees first. Instead, the focus is put too much on cutting costs. They are also very disconnected to what goes on in the day-to-day which leads to absentminded and frankly, stupid decisions. The culture and in-office experience is seriously going downhill, especially due to recent changes.
