Pros

Suck the top and push the bottom employees to survive games. Revenue and Income > € Billion

Cons

Bad to Worse the Cost saving projects Great profits, Unfortunately the cakes shared on certain butter up team members only. Employees who contributed and work not even get a cent profit sharing bonus. Zero increments with Super inflation environment Unfair the rating system

Poor Leadership and Lack of Employee Support

Pros

Pros: Industry visibility, decent benefits, exposure to semiconductor technology. Cons: Weak leadership, poor communication, limited career growth, and a lack of genuine employee support.

Cons

Working at ASM was disappointing. While the company positions itself as an innovative leader in semiconductor equipment, the internal culture doesn’t reflect that. Management often makes short-sighted decisions without considering the impact on employees or long-term strategy. Communication is inconsistent, and leadership seems more focused on appearances than on genuine problem-solving. Career development opportunities are limited, and promotions feel political rather than merit-based. Employee input is rarely valued, and the lack of transparency around major decisions creates a stressful environment. For a company in such a fast-paced industry, they struggle to adapt and empower their teams to succeed. The technology and customer relationships might be impressive, but internally the company suffers from poor leadership, weak processes, and a culture that doesn’t truly support its people.

Pros

Camaraderie, coworkers are like a family, pay is good. Lower/Middle management is great and they all show a genuine care for their employees

Cons

The “we care” program has been replaced with “we don’t care”. Fear of losing or losing your job for speaking up is a real threat now. Overworked but company won’t hire more people. The training is non existent and no support from upper management.
