Lots of good and lots of bad here, could go on and on on both.
Pros
Lots of pros here, lots of freedom in the technical sense where you can learn and demonstrate your full abilities. There are really no rules in terms of limitations on how far you want to push yourself they will for sure not stop you from over achieving. Some flexibility in schedule but pressure always there is your a tool owner. Its nice to be trusted to for your time worked with out punching a clock. Its also nice not having a badge number. You do feel human here completely. The people and their resolve is usually top notch, every one really is so good that the competitiveness comes out in meetings and lots to learn from all.
Cons
Lots of cons here also..the work flow is so un managed that is basically a nightmare. From hour to hour you will have sometimes no idea where the next number one priority will come from and its already a week behind. There are no LAB guidelines at all to refer to, there are vender manuals but mostly do not apply to the type environment this is so everyone does things a little different. ASM jobs are for sure venerable. If your not in the right group, the right cliché or in the right direction for profit, you could be jobless soon. ASM does not try to find you work with in the company. Also they do not completely stand behind their words at times. Email only system used for everything, very tough to manage issues with only email. Very very disorganized and no tools for your job. You need to hunt for every single thing you need pretty much every day.
