Great tech, poor management

Pros

Cutting edge technology, great engineers

Cons

(1) Not enough HR and HR has a serious attitude problem. HR doesn't pick up phone or reply email at the offer negotiation phase (2) Poor onboarding and training. It takes days for new hire to get the badge. After the first day "orientation", new hire still doesn't know how to write time card, how to request IT service. Team members are not willing to spend 1hr going over the project they are working on. If you are new, going to meetings and asking questions is the only way to learn the jargons and techniques. (3) Serious role clarity problem. Some people are super busy, while others have essentially nothing to do. Manager will ask senior engineer to do a technician's job, and to assign someone to do something that is not his/her job duty (4) too many meetings and engineers don't have enough time to solve real technical problems (5) people have to share cubicles because there is not enough working space

Pros

State of the art technology. Working with engineers from all over the world. Company is growing. Benefits are nice. IT department is really good.

Cons

Unhealthy working environment- impossible schedules, very little testing capabilities and project management tools to deal with, alongside with bad treatment of employees.

Pros

There are multiple career paths that you can follow to become a technical expert, architect, project lead or group lead. Enough training programs in hard and soft skills provided. Ample technical challenges.

Cons

The company has become very large. Together with this came splits into business lines and additional layers in the organization. Parking and accessibility has become a problem.
