Pros

This company is a bad company to work for

Cons

This company is the worst company to work for because they promised their employees a based income of $900 to $1,000. And then once you get to working when your first paycheck comes in, come to find out. They only pay you $50 a day $975 an hour and if you don't make a sale for that day, you don't make buck 50 and that's not what they say in the beginning. That's not what they tell you before they hire you. They tell you have a based income and then the sales is where the extra money comes in at and it's all a like they still owe me money. They do not want to pay me because they said something about multiple signups and I'm new so I don't know anything about that so they just cheat people out of their money. They want people to get out there in the heat and work for them. They don't give nobody water. They don't provide nothing for you and they want you to travel all over the world to just pay you $50 a day and not even reimbursed you your gas money

Pros

Volunteers, assisting communities, animal care, fostering cohesive memorable relationships are all a cornerstone of a meaningful mission.

Cons

Where to begin? The word toxic is often thrown around when one leaves a job that was less than thrilling. In my 30 year career in animal welfare this was one I could truly call toxic. The insult to injury is they scream at the top of their lings words like “family, DEI, work/life balance, equality, place of love etc.” This is all the extremely hyperbolic behavior of a predator dynamic. Politicking, back stabbing and manipulation the likes of which would make characters from Game of Thrones blush. Lies and deceit tend to take priority for promotion or advancement. Be extremely cautious of those who come to you as friends. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing. This is a culture that is top down in it’s approach of this type of behavior. I watched so many good colleagues get fired under the guise of bad behavior when there were ulterior motives working against many the entire time. I was glad to finally find a launch pad to another means of income and a career move to get away. Having been gone for a few years now it truly dawned on me just how truly awful things were. Which is such a shame because the actual work being performed is an absolute gift. Animal welfare and bullying is synonymous and I’m glad we’re finally seeing an influx of stories detailing how bad it can be. But this was the worst of all of them and second place is a very distant second. Such a shame.

RUN from 92nd st- RUN!

Pros

Excellent healthcare and 401k options (if you can manage to stay long enough). Hospital employees are "allowed" to bring their pets in for free care

Cons

92nd st hospital senior leadership struggles with consistency and managerial development. Senior management was often not in the office or unavailable, which made expectations around career growth, accountability, and delegation unclear and all decisions will be held against you. Coaching does not exist, feedback is limited and untruthful, and advocacy from middle management frequently appeared to be influenced more by personal relationships than by fairness or alignment with organizational goals. The job descriptions shifted significantly without discussion or transparency. Tenured employees have created a survivalist atmosphere, and they are miserable, hypocritical, lack soft skills, and motivation; if you try to change that- well off with your head! Controlled substance handling is a joke- senior managers don't know the laws or how to handle them; multiple fentanyl bottles were left out and there's no checks and balances system when people are supposed to dispose of a medication. Multiple employees cut their lunch breaks without permission or clock in early- hundred of thousands of dollars are being spent and theres no financial recourse bc upper management doesn't have to be accountable to a labor budget and its knowingly overlooked by HR.
