Cons

- Bureaucracy: things need to be reviewed by many people/depts, etc. - Work/life balance: partly b/c we love the work, many of us work long hours - Quality of the experience depends a lot on your department and boss - DEI is not yet up to speed enough

Pros

There is a strong commitment to putting animals first. Your eithics and viewpoints will be respected. Compensation is fair amongst employees because they are strictly laid out by position and raises are generally standard.

Cons

Reporting numbers and organization bureaucracy will play a major role in an employees ability to advance. You will likely be asked to give more of your time without compensation for the sake of animals in need.
