Pros

This organization truly does help animals. Amazing things are done each day in order to further the mission of the ASPCA.

Cons

The HR department in this organization might as well not exists. Favoritism, inconsistencies and poor moral plague this organization and HR sits back and watches.

Pros

Great location. Good cause. Not great but relatively decent pay. Good brand recognition. Provides grants to up and coming animal protection startups.

Cons

Management is persnickety about timeliness, hierarchy, and communication. The organization strives too hard to mimic the political savvyness, visibility, and fundraising appeal of its main competitor, the HSUS. In the process it looks antiquated and frumpy and risks becoming irrelevant. And the end result is an inferiority complex. Its new CEO is a great manager but a lackluster leader.
