The technology is very old in terms of the languages of the programs they support, the frameworks that they use, the hardware that they are using, as well as the IT department. When I was there, no one had experience or heard of Docker. It is an environment better suited for someone who is not interested in growing their skills and learning the latest best practices. This is a combination of lack of experience on their part, as well as a result of red tape at times from upper management either at AFMS or Lockheed.
They have a partnership with a large project with Lockheed Martin that means a lot of crossover with personnel, resources. This proved to be challenging at times given that various people at LM were not friendly or helpful or knowledgeable at times. The struggle to get resources, help, access, permission to develop and test was a herculean feat at times with the LM Moorestown location. Would not recommend working there.
